Outsourced accounting

Outsourced accounting that keeps the business decision-ready

We operate your accounting function: books kept current, balances reconciled, and records ready for management review — inside the accounting system you already run.

Books that are accurate, current and ready for review, held there by a structured monthly close.

The problem

What we typically find on day one

  • Books are updated only right before a filing or an audit.
  • Bank, customer, vendor and tax balances don't reconcile.
  • Owners depend on spreadsheets and verbal explanations instead of numbers they can trust.
  • The accounts team has no review discipline or backup when someone is away.

Scope of work

  • Bookkeeping and ledger management.
  • Bank, customer, vendor and statutory reconciliations.
  • Accounts receivable and accounts payable operations.
  • Inventory, fixed-asset, branch, cost-centre and project accounting.
  • Month-end close and accounting cleanup.

Monthly operating rhythm

  • Daily or weekly transaction processing.
  • Exception and missing-document tracking.
  • A reconciliation checklist run every cycle.
  • Month-end close and management review.
  • Handover to MIS, tax preparation and audit support.

Where this fits

  • Businesses with growing transaction volume.
  • Companies replacing person-dependent accounting with a proper process.
  • Founders who need reliable numbers without immediately building a full in-house finance team.
Scope and professional coordination

5th Quadrant prepares, reconciles and organises your accounting records. Where a statutory audit or a CA-certified report is required, that work is carried out and signed by an independently engaged practising Chartered Accountant — coordinated by us, not issued by us.

Frequently asked questions

What is included in outsourced accounting?

Bookkeeping, ledger maintenance, bank and vendor reconciliations, receivable and payable management, and a structured month-end close — delivered on a defined monthly rhythm with an exception report so nothing is quietly carried forward.

Can 5th Quadrant work in our existing Tally, Zoho Books or ERP?

Yes. We work inside the accounting system you already use rather than asking you to switch, and can support a cleanup or migration separately if your current setup needs one.

How frequently will books be updated?

Transaction processing runs daily or weekly depending on your volume, with a full reconciliation checklist and management review at month-end. The exact cadence is agreed during scoping.

Who approves payments and journal entries?

Your team retains approval authority. We process, reconcile and flag exceptions; payment release and journal sign-off stay with the people you designate — we don't unilaterally move money or post unapproved entries.

Can 5th Quadrant clear a backlog or repair old books?

Yes, accounting cleanup and backlog clearance is one of our standard engagements, typically scoped as a fixed-time project before moving into a regular monthly rhythm.

Does 5th Quadrant replace our statutory auditor?

No. We keep your books audit-ready and prepare supporting schedules, but the statutory audit itself is performed and signed by your independently appointed practising Chartered Accountant.
