Let’s talk

How we work

A structured path from diagnostic to ongoing operations

Every engagement follows the same six-step sequence, whether it is a monthly accounting handover or a specialist advisory project.

The 5th Quadrant approach+

A clear path forward.

Discover → Diagnose → Scope → Transition → Operate → Review

01Understand the work02Establish the rhythm03Review and improve
  1. Discovery

We understand your entity, business model, systems, transaction volume and current pain points.

  2. Diagnostic

We review your books, reconciliations, compliance calendar, reports, access and process gaps.

  3. Scope

We agree deliverables, responsibilities, timelines, data dependencies and professional sign-offs.

  4. Transition

We collect opening data, clean master records and establish communication routines.

  5. Operate

We execute daily, weekly, monthly and periodic finance activities on the agreed calendar.

  6. Review

We hold management reviews, close observations and continuously improve the process.

Onboarding checklist

What we require from you before day one.

  • Confirm the entities, locations and systems in scope.
  • Share access to your accounting system, bank portals and compliance logins.
  • Introduce the internal team members we'll coordinate with.
  • Agree the data cut-off dates and communication rhythm.
  • Confirm which decisions and sign-offs stay with you.

A sample monthly calendar

The exact rhythm depends on your engagement, but a typical monthly cycle runs transaction processing and reconciliation in week one, exception clearance in week two, close and MIS preparation in week three, and a management review with agreed actions in week four.

Week 01

Process & reconcile

Transaction processing and reconciliation.

Week 02

Resolve exceptions

Clear gaps and outstanding information.

Week 03

Close & report

Prepare the close and management reporting.

Week 04

Review & act

Management review with agreed actions.

Client dependencies

Turnaround depends on timely inputs: access, approvals and missing-document responses against the agreed cut-off dates. Dependencies are flagged as they arise rather than allowed to surface as a missed deadline.
